About this Marketsite Event:

About Cooke Center for Learning and Development: Cooke is the largest private provider of inclusive special education services in New York City. Students learn among their general education peers in Cooke's partner schools and amidst the hustle and bustle of the law offices, construction firms and restaurants where they intern. This inclusive approach, along with a needs-blind admission policy, makes Cooke unique among private special education schools.

This year, Cooke is collaborating with more than 70 Head Start centers, preschools, and parochial and charter schools. In addition to providing direct instruction to more than 500 children in the Cooke Center Schools and programs, Cooke reaches more than 2,000 students each year through on-site teacher training in high poverty areas. Cooke students range in age from 3 to 21, come from every borough, and have a variety of disabilities that affect their cognitive, social and emotional development.
